that the LED
solid-state lighting engine and luminaries’ manufacturers Lumecon Relume Ann
Arbor, Michigan (Ann Arbor)
received contracts to supply more than
1,000 LED street lamps. It is
understood that, Relume LED engine is based on performance-leading
Cree decorative lights
LEDs. Moreover, the
contract is signed
after the evaluation of 25 lamps, the initial investment is expected to be recovered after 3.8
years. Ann Arbor City officials said that this
solution allows Ann Arbor to achieve savings in
energy and maintenance
costs. Each LED
lamps consume only 56 watts and an expected life of 10
years. Ann Arbor's public lighting energy
saving is expected to be reduced by half
after the installation
of LED streetlights.
In addition, carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 2,425 tons / year
