  Tomorrow is Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Dragon Boat Festival is one of three Chinese traditional folk festivals; the other two are spring festival and Mid Autumn Festival. On this traditional festival celebrated on 9th of the ninth lunar month when people go out to climb high mountains and have branches on the door of our house, eat Zongzi and held Festival race.   So I will tell something about this festival briefly. Dragon Boat Festival has always been a national fitness day; people pray for health and drive disease. For the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, there is still a wide range of views on it. The most widely acceptable version of it is in order to commemorate a great patriotic poet of China: Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was a minister of Chu; he drowned himself in the Miluo River with a big stone when Chu was defeated by Qin. He just died for his country. The citizens lived along by the river throw the food made by sticky rice (Zongzi) into the river to prevent those fish ate Qu Yuan’s body. Henceforth, Chinese always eat Zongzi to memorize Qu Yuan on that day.

  I’m not sure people from the other countries could understand the meaning in it or not, however, everyone could enjoy this festival and eat Zongzi either way. Zongzi is really a delicious food and just have a try. Tomorrow I will go to my friend’s house and have the festival together.see u！
